From The Anvil are specialist manufacturers of traditional and period window, door and cabinet fittings with over twenty years’ experience in the industry. Forging from mild steel and hot forging brass are the two key production methods behind our collection of ironmongery and are what makes ‘From the Anvil’ unique.
When opened a tee hinge has the appearance of a letter ‘T’. An alternative to butt hinges, tee hinges are usually used in conjunction with a suffolk latch on traditional plank doors.
Designed to match our bean thumblatches and d handles.
A pair and a half (3 hinges) can be fitted to provide extra strength for heavier doors.
Our blacksmith tee hinges are hammered into shape from mild steel using the traditional manufacturing method of an anvil and fire.
Supplied as a pair.
Supplied with matching SS wood screws.
Our black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings, it has a subtle sheen and offers a bold contrast on both stained and painted timber alike. It is baked in a high-temperature oven giving it durable corrosion resistant properties.
